Cold Waves & Temperature Zones
In Season 2, the map is split into temperature zones ranging from –15°C to –80°C, with the Capitol being the coldest area. These freezing conditions are a constant threat, and mismanaging your Furnace or buffs can result in immobile troops and failed rallies.
🌡️ Temperature Zones
Zone | Temp | Required Furnace Level |
---|---|---|
Southern Plains | –15°C | 5+ |
Central Zone | –30°C | 10+ |
L4–5 City Ring | –50°C | 18–22 |
Rare Soil Ring | –60°C | 24–28 |
Capitol Area | –80°C | 30 |
🔥 Furnace & Fuel Use
Your Furnace must be:
- Upgraded to unlock movement into colder zones
- Fueled with Titanium Alloy at all times
Furnace Overdrive temporarily boosts cold resistance — use it before long marches or PvP.
Tips:
- Never let your Furnace run out mid-march
- Don’t over-upgrade early — balance fuel costs
- Time movement with fuel recharge cycles
🪫 Overdrive & Buff Synergy
To move or rally in –60°C+ zones:
- Activate Overdrive
- Use Recon Plane buffs (movement speed, fuel efficiency)
- Stack profession Cold Duration nodes
Duration matters — plan your route before enabling the buff.
🧊 Cold Wave Events
Cold Waves occur frequently and reduce map temperatures even further. During waves:
- Zones can drop by –10°C to –15°C depending on wave strength
- PvP slows due to fuel risk
- Farming outside city zones becomes harder
Plan Ahead:
- Store Coal
- Delay long-range attacks
- Use PvE content or short-range farm targets instead of risky marches
🧠 Notes by Player Type
F2P:
- Get to Furnace L22+ before major Cold Wave zones
- Don’t overcommit in –60°C zones without Overdrive
- Join rallies instead of leading long marches
Light Spender:
- Time Furnace upgrades with Arms Race
- Invest in Recon buffs during Cold Wave weekends
- Manage Titanium wisely — it’s easy to go dry
Whale:
- Max Furnace by Week 5
- Preload fuel before wars
- Lead during Cold Wave PvP — others will hesitate
