Rare Soil Strategy

Rare Soil is the most important seasonal resource in Polar Storm. It determines your personal ranking, alliance placement, and end-of-season rewards. Mastering the timing and strategy of gathering and defending Rare Soil is critical.

🏆 What Is Rare Soil?

• Gained by controlling specific cities and zones on the map
• Awarded hourly when your alliance holds a Rare Soil structure
• Final amount is snapshotted just before the season ends
• Can be lost via PvP or structure capture

🧭 Where to Get It

Holding more = earning more. Defend what you take.

📈 Income Strategy

• Begin contesting Rare Soil in L5+ zones from late Week 3
• Push for 10+ per player by Week 5
• Aim for 15–25+ per player by snapshot

Snapshot typically happens ~2 hours before server reset on the final day of Season 2.

🧠 PvP & Defense Rotation

Rotation is key. Set up roles:

• Rally leads: rotate leadership to avoid cooldowns
• Defenders: assigned by time zone for 24/7 coverage
• Scouts: check towers + movement near Soil targets
• Backline players: provide reinforcements + cleanups

🔐 Holding Strategy

Tips to hold Soil longer:

• Assign Recon Buffs daily to defenders
• Use Overdrive and Cold Buffs for movement
• Coordinate Profession Buff during big pushes
• Send backup marches before being full-rallied

📦 Snapshot Day

On the final day:

• Be online 2–3 hours before reset
• Recall any non-essential marches
• Fill Soil cities with strong troops
• Defend against snipes — losing Soil now costs you rewards

F2P:

• Join rallies, don’t lead
• Tag Soil for hourly gains
• Be available on snapshot day

Light Spender:

• Contribute to rallies and PvP
• Aim for 15+ Soil
• Help with off-hour defense if possible

Whale:

• Lead city captures and 24/7 defense
• Max buffs and rotate Soil holds
• Ensure snapshot timing is managed alliance-wide
